About This Club

Good Guys Run Club meets every Wednesday at 7 PM at Pattersons Park at Highline Park in the M-K-T Plaza in Houston's Heights neighborhood. It's a free, weekly social run built around pace groups, so you pick your distance and run with people moving at a similar speed. After the run, the night rolls into bingo and Good Guys Good Beer on tap at the bar.

Who It Suits

This club suits runners who want a structured but low-pressure midweek run and actually want to stick around afterward - the post-run social is a real part of the night, not an afterthought. If you want a hard, silent training session with no small talk, Wednesday nights here probably aren't your thing.

What a Run With Them Is Like

You have two options each week: a 2-mile out-and-back or a 4-mile loop around White Oak Bayou on the Heights Hike and Bike trail. The 4-mile route includes a larger uphill section, so be ready for that if you go long. Both routes use pace groups, and there's also a workout-of-the-day option if you want something more structured than a steady run.

Your First Run

Show up to Pattersons Park at Highline Park at 7 PM on a Wednesday - that's your landmark. When you arrive, you pick your distance and slot into a pace group that fits where you are right now, so you won't be dragging anyone down or getting left behind.

It's free to attend and there's no sign-up required before you show up. Stay for bingo and a beer after and you'll leave knowing at least a few people by name.
