Common Questions About Arlington Running Club
Do I need to be fast to run with Arlington Running Club?
No. Arlington Running Club is set up for new runners and walking is fine and nobody gets left behind. On pace: non-competitive; pace accommodates runners from beginning level through marathoners and ultra runners. If you are worried about holding the group up, that is the most common worry new members have, and it is usually the first thing to go away.
Is it awkward to show up to Arlington Running Club on your own?
Most people turn up alone the first time, and a group run is one of the easier places to do that, because you are all moving in the same direction and nobody has to hold a conversation face to face. Afterwards: cold frosty beverages at Astro Beer Hall.
How does Arlington Running Club compare to other running clubs in Arlington?
Walkers are welcome here, which is true of 2 of Arlington's 5 clubs.
Where this comes from: Club details come from each club’s own channels (their site, Meetup, Strava and social posts) and are checked by hand. Group runs move, so confirm the meeting spot on the club’s latest post before you head out. Last updated July 2026.
