About This Club

261 Fearless Club DC Metro is a women-only running club that meets twice a week at two locations in Northern Virginia - Laurel Hill Park in Lorton and a Reston location. Runs are coached and noncompetitive, and the format mixes running with games and relay activities, so this is not a traditional 'line up and go fast' group run.

  • Coached running instruction
  • Game-based workouts
  • Community support
  • Connection to global 261 Fearless network
  • Access to education programs and social events

Who It Suits

This club suits women 18 and over who want a structured, low-pressure group run with coaching built in - especially if a purely social, unstructured group feels intimidating or a speed-focused club feels out of reach right now. If you are looking for a pure tempo or race-training group with set paces, this is not that.

What a Run With Them Is Like

Each session runs one hour, and the coached format means someone is actively guiding the workout rather than just setting a pace and hoping you keep up. Expect game-based activities and relays woven into the run, which keeps things moving without the pressure of holding a certain pace. The club is open to all running abilities, so the range of people showing up on any given Sunday or Wednesday is genuinely wide.

Your First Run

Email 261fearlessclubdcmetro@gmail.com before you show up - they ask you to do this to confirm the location and to arrange your first run for free. Wear whatever you run in and bring weather-appropriate layers, since they run outdoors year-round and the meet time shifts by season, so it is worth confirming the current time when you write to them.

Showing up alone is normal here - the coached, activity-based format means you are not left to figure out how to slot into an existing pack of friends.
