About the Zombie Run 5K
The course runs through Yoctangee Park, which has recently been renovated. Costumes are welcome and plenty of people show up in them, so expect a Halloween-feeling crowd on the course. The terrain in the park is accessible enough that the field tends to be a wide mix of paces and ages.
The finish connects directly to the Chillicothe Halloween Festival, so there is no awkward post-race gap. The festival runs alongside the post-race cool-down, with performances and activities for kids nearby. The race benefits local nonprofits through the entry fees collected.
