About the Conquer the Coaster 5K

The course winds through a Jellystone Park campground, so you are running past cabins, amenities, and wooded scenery rather than roads or a park loop. The terrain reflects a working campground, with the surrounding Golden Valley landscape visible throughout. After you finish, the mountain coaster on site is part of the event, a rare post-race option.

Refreshments are set out at the finish for everyone. The race benefits a local elementary school in Bostic, so the crowd around the finish tends to include families and neighbors with a real stake in the outcome.
