About the YMCA of Lincoln Turkey Trot

The race takes place on Thanksgiving morning in the Railyard district of downtown Lincoln, a walkable open-air space with an urban feel underfoot. The course is flat and set against the backdrop of the West Haymarket area. There are several distance options, from a short dash for the youngest kids up through a longer run, so families tend to come out in full force with strollers and all.

Free parking is available in a nearby arena lot, and you walk across a pedestrian bridge to reach the start. Packet pickup runs the evening before at a YMCA location on the south side of town, with race-morning pickup available at the Railyard itself. A food drive for non-perishable items and hygiene products runs alongside the event.
