About the Gobble for Good Life
The course runs through Holmes Lake Park, a green open space that works well for dogs on leash. The route is more of a social outing than a timed effort, and Thanksgiving costumes are strongly encouraged. There is a costume contest, and people tend to lean into it, so expect turkey hats and matching outfits on both runners and their dogs.
The event benefits a local dog rescue, so the crowd skews toward people who showed up with a cause in mind alongside their run. Packet pickup and check-in happen at the park before the start, so there is no separate pre-race errand to run.
