About the YMCA Famous Idaho Potato Marathon & Fun Runs
The course runs along the Boise Greenbelt, a paved path that follows the river through the city. It is flat the whole way, which makes it a course people tend to run for time. Several distance options share the same route, and they all begin and end at the Morrison Center, a performing arts building that gives the start area an unusual backdrop.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Morrison Center, which is also where the race starts. Picking up then lets you skip the morning rush entirely. Race-morning pickup is also available for those who cannot make the earlier window.
