The course runs on concrete and asphalt through the neighborhood around West Woods Elementary, which is also the school behind the race. It is a relatively flat road course, and jogging strollers are welcome. After the race, a bubble cannon goes up, and the Arvada Fire Department typically brings a truck to the finish area.

Packet pickup happens outside the elementary school's main entrance on the two evenings before race day. Parking near the start is limited, so walking or carpooling is worth planning ahead. Post-race, Freedom Street Social hosts a celebration nearby, with a free small treat for younger runners and a drink option for adults.
