About the Wise County Turkey Trot

The Wise County Turkey Trot runs on Thanksgiving morning through downtown Decatur, starting on Main Street. The course offers a shorter option and a longer run, both rooted in the heart of the square. It is a fundraiser for local charities, and runners are encouraged to bring canned goods, which go to a local food bank.

Packet pickup happens in the days before the race at a boutique on the square in Decatur. The start is right there on Main Street, so the square itself is your staging area on race morning.
