About the Skinnydipper Sun Run
The race takes place at a naturist resort outside Decatur, and clothing is optional throughout. The course runs through the resort grounds, so expect a private, wooded setting rather than open roads or a public park. Chip timing is used, and the age group categories run deep, so competitive runners have plenty to race for.
Check-in and packet pickup happen in the hours before the start, with no race-day registration at the gate. After the race, there is a BBQ dinner on the grounds, followed by a dance later in the evening, so most people treat it as a full afternoon and night out.
