About the Winnetka Turkey Trot 2026
The course runs on the Green Bay Trail, starting and finishing at the Winnetka Train Station. It is a road race on a paved trail, and the rolling start spreads people out so the path does not bottleneck early. Waves go off across the morning, with faster runners first and a family division following.
Packet pickup happens at a running store in Wilmette on two separate days before Thanksgiving, with no race-day pickup. Parking is in public lots and on the street near the station. After you finish, there is water and granola bars at the finish area.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Winnetka Turkey Trot 2026 has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
