The course runs along the Green Bay Trail, starting at the Winnetka Train Station. It is an out-and-back on a paved bike path, flat the whole way, with no real climbing to speak of. The trail setting keeps things open and easy to navigate, and the rolling wave start spreads the field out nicely.

Packet pickup happens at a Road Runner Sports in Wilmette in the days before the race, with no race-morning pickup option. The start is on the west side of the train station building. Parking is street and public lot. Post-race, there is water and granola bars at the finish area. The event is not canceled for rain or snow.
