About the Williamstown Turkey Trot 5K

The course runs through the grounds of a winery, mixing hard-packed dirt trails, grassy stretches, and sandy sections. If it has rained, expect mud, so trail shoes are worth considering. It is a Thanksgiving morning race, and the winery will be open for bottle sales when you finish, which is a decent way to sort out the dinner table.

A portion of race proceeds goes to Lucky Paws Animal Assistance, an organization that helps rehome animals and covers veterinary care. Kids under a certain age run free with a paying adult, so it draws families looking for something to do before the meal.
