About the Hangover Run 5K
The course runs mostly on asphalt, with a short stretch of hard-packed gravel near a dog park and a brief dirt section behind the high school that can hold puddles after rain. It starts and ends at Owen's Park. Strollers are welcome, and dogs can come along if they start near the back.
The race runs on New Year's Day at midday, so there is no early alarm. A portion of proceeds supports Viola's Place, a local shelter and resource center for women and children affected by domestic violence. You can add a donation at registration.

The Hangover Run 5K has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
