About the Whiskey and Wine 5K
The course runs a single loop through Oak Mountain State Park, passing Lake Tranquility. The organizers warn of some elevation, so expect at least one real climb. The draw here is the optional tasting stations spaced along the route, featuring a curated selection of whiskies and wines kept secret until race morning. Finish and you pick a bottle to take home.
Packet pickup and check-in both happen on race day at the Redbud Pavilion inside the park, with a pre-run briefing just before the start. Bring a photo ID, you will not get your wristband without it, and the wristband is what gets you access to the tastings on course. Parking and restrooms are available at the pavilion.
