About the What We're Thankful 4-Miler
The race starts on McClurg Road and includes both a running distance and a walk option, so the morning draws a wide range of participants. Age group awards go deep, and pumpkin pie goes to the category winners, which gives the finish line a Thanksgiving feel without much ceremony.
Packet pickup runs the evening before Thanksgiving at a local running store. If you miss that, race-morning pickup opens early at the Davis Family YMCA, which also serves as the start area. A kids race goes off first on a track just outside the finish area.
