About the Westy Half & 5k
The race runs on the Big Dry Creek Trail, a mixed surface of gravel, dirt, and pavement through Westminster. The half marathon follows a bow-tie shape, crossing back near the start partway through before heading out the opposite direction. The out-and-back shorter course shares the same trail. Strollers and leashed dogs are both welcome on the course.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Road Runner Sports, and someone else can collect your packet if needed. Race morning has a small expo area near the start. The finish area is cup-free, so bringing a water bottle is worth doing. Runners who donate hygiene items at the charity table on race day are entered into a raffle for gear and gift cards.
