About the All-Out Fa La La

The course runs out and back along the Big Dry Creek Trail, starting from an office park east of downtown Westminster. The surface is mostly paved but with a soft dirt edge running alongside, so dogs are welcome and many people bring them. The terrain is gentle with views toward the Front Range, and there are a few aid stations spread along the route.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store nearby, with race-morning pickup available before each distance starts. The start area is the office park parking lot, which gives everyone a clear place to gather. Each distance starts in its own wave, staggered through the morning.

Common Questions About the All-Out Fa La La

Will I finish last at the All-Out Fa La La?

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 2:05:01, and the last recorded finisher came in around 3:40:20, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the All-Out Fa La La a good first 13.1 Miles?

It is a small race (187 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 13.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the All-Out Fa La La?

The 13.1 Miles winner ran 1:19:02 while the median finisher took 2:05:01. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
