About the West KY FCA & Edward Jones Turkey Trot 5K/10K

This is a Thanksgiving morning race in downtown Paducah, run to raise scholarship money for a Christian athletes leadership camp. The proceeds go directly to students, and that purpose gives the morning a particular tone. Several distance options are available, and results are posted instantly, so you are not waiting long to see where you landed.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local tea and coffee shop on Broadway, and most runners take advantage of it. There is also a race-morning option at a downtown intersection near the public restrooms. Age group winners take home pies; overall winners take home hams. The awards ceremony wraps up well before midmorning.
