About the Watermelon 5K West Palm Beach
The course runs through John Prince Park, a large green space with paths shaded by trees. The watermelon theme is not just a name: there is a genuine spread of it at the finish, cold and plentiful on a summer morning. Music plays while people cool down, and the post-race area stays busy for a while after the leaders come in.
Chip timing handles the results, and age group awards go several places deep. The finish area doubles as the gathering space, so there is no walking back to a separate lot to find your people.
