About the 12th Annual Heroes For Education 5K
The race runs through John Prince Park, so expect shade from trees and paths that stay mostly flat. The event has a strong connection to Palm Beach County public schools, with teams from campuses across the district competing for awards that send prize money directly back to their schools for educational supplies. A kids fun run and a short dash for younger children round out the morning.
Registration opens early on race morning in the park. The awards ceremony follows shortly after the main race wraps up, and school mascot teams have their own moment on the course before the morning is done.
