About the Warrior Rush - Army of Hades - 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon 13.1
The course runs through Hickory Creek Preserve, a nature preserve on the edge of New Lenox, with a Halloween theme woven through the event. The setting is wooded and scenic rather than urban, and the race leans hard into its spooky concept, with zombie and mythology characters built into the experience. Several distance options mean people at different fitness levels tend to show up together.
After the race, there is a post-race party with a DJ, along with complimentary snacks and refreshments at the finish area. The event includes chip timing with live results, so you can track how you did without waiting around. Photos are taken on course and at the finish if you want something to remember the day by.
