About the War Eagle Run Fest
The course runs through the Auburn University campus and finishes on the fifty-yard line inside Jordan-Hare Stadium, which is the real draw here. Both the half marathon and the shorter race start outside the stadium on Heisman Drive. The half marathon winds past Toomer's Corner, the president's house, and the track before looping back. The shorter course takes a tighter arc past the practice fields and the coliseum.
Packet pickup runs the day before at the east gates of Jordan-Hare Stadium, and race-morning pickup is available for those who cannot make it. The organizers push hard for the early pickup, since the races start on time regardless of lines. After finishing, there is a post-race tailgate outside the stadium with live music and hot food, though the food is reserved for registered runners.
