About the Walk Across Sumner 5k and Fun Run
This is an evening race through Triple Creek Park, running along the greenway near the soccer fields. The course is lit up with glow sticks and blacklights, so the whole thing has a different feel than a daytime road race. It benefits physical education programs at local schools, and there is a walking campaign in the weeks beforehand that gives participants a BINGO activity sheet to complete.
The race starts at the large pavilion in Triple Creek Park. BINGO sheets from the pre-race walking campaign can be turned in on race day, and finishing one puts you in the running for a prize drawing.
