About the Gallatin Shamrock Run 5k & 10k (Tennessee)
The course runs through the streets of Historic Downtown Gallatin, starting at City Hall. The route is primarily flat, and the longer distance option simply covers the same ground twice. St. Patrick's Day costume contests happen at both the start and finish areas, so the crowd tends to be dressed up, and the atmosphere leans into the holiday.
Packet pickup is held at a venue on Main Street across a couple of evenings and mornings before race day, with an early-morning option on race day itself. Parking is available along Smith Street; the organizers advise against parking on the main roads that form the race route and send a parking map ahead of time.
