About the Wagner's Tuscaloosa Turkey Trot
This race starts and finishes at a local running shop on Bridge Avenue, which gives the morning a neighborhood feel from the first step. The proceeds go to local children's charities, so there is a real sense of purpose behind the entry fee, but the race itself is the draw: a Thanksgiving-week tradition in Northport that draws families alongside faster runners.
Packet pickup and registration run through the shop, and the start area is right outside the front door. The organizers keep optional add-ons separate from the base registration cost, so you pay for what you actually want rather than a bundled price.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Wagner's Tuscaloosa Turkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
