About the Waco Police Memorial Run

The course runs through Cameron Park, a wooded stretch with bluffs that gives the route a more natural feel than a typical road race. The terrain is gently rolling rather than flat, and the park setting means shade for most of the morning. The race honors officers who died in the line of duty, and that purpose is present in the atmosphere.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Waco Police Department, with race-morning pickup available for those who cannot make it out early. The start area is at the Redwood Shelter inside the park, which has enough open space around it that parking and gathering before the gun are straightforward.
