About the Veterans Salute Races

The course leaves the Farragut Community Center, winds through a residential neighborhood, and returns to where it started. Along the way, it passes through Founders Park, where a corridor of signs honors veterans by name. The route is the same for both distances, with the longer option covering it twice. A ruck competition runs alongside the standard race for those who want to carry weight.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at Fleet Feet Knoxville, with a second window on race morning before the start. The race benefits two veterans organizations, and runners who carry food in their rucksacks can donate to a local food pantry at the finish.
