About the Veterans Day 5K, 10K & Ruck
This race runs on the grounds of Midland College and brings together runners, walkers, and those carrying a weighted ruck. The event is organized around Veterans Day, and the atmosphere reflects that, drawing veterans, their families, and neighbors who show up to mark the occasion together rather than purely to race.
Several distance options are on offer, including a kids' run and a ruck division alongside the road distances, so the start area tends to have a mixed crowd with strollers and packs alongside running shoes. The college campus setting keeps things contained and easy to navigate on race morning.
