About the Nighttime Jingle Bell Run
This is an evening race through the streets of Midland, held when the city is dressed up for the holidays. Runners and walkers move through a route lined with lights, and costumes are a real part of the scene. Jingle bells turn up often, and the overall mood is more holiday block party than race night.
The event starts at an elementary school and benefits Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin, which runs financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs in local schools. Knowing where the entry fees go gives the evening a little more weight than a typical holiday fun run.
