About the Vermont 50 Mountain Bike or Ultra Run
The course runs through the hills around Ascutney Outdoors, mixing singletrack and dirt roads across a genuinely hilly Vermont landscape. Both mountain bikers and ultra runners share the course, and the terrain asks something of everyone who toes the line. The race benefits Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a program that serves youth and adults with disabilities.
The event brings a lot of activity beyond the race itself, with kids' activities spread around the venue. Relay options are available for both the bike and run sides, so groups can split the distance among a small team.
