About the Lucy Mac 5K9
The trails at Ascutney Outdoors wind through open fields, cross streams, and push into the woods before finishing down the ski slopes of Ascutney Mountain. The footing is genuinely technical, with rocks, exposed roots, and sections that can turn muddy, so trail shoes are worth the thought. Dogs on leash are welcome on the course, which fits the event's humane society roots.
Check-in opens well before the start and takes place inside the Ascutney Outdoors Center, which also has indoor restrooms. Parking signs guide you in from Ski Tow Road. Water and light refreshments are available after you finish.
