About the USS Hornet Halloween 5k
This one runs after dark, starting and finishing at the pier beside the USS Hornet museum at Alameda Point. The route loops around the point, so you get views across the water toward San Francisco and along the estuary shoreline. The course is flat and fast on road. Costumes are strongly encouraged, and the atmosphere on Halloween eve leans into that.
Packet pickup is available at a running store on Park Street in the days before the race, with race-day pickup also available at the pier. After the run there is a beer garden, food, and music, with age group awards announced while the post-race scene is still going.
