About the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon and 5K
The course starts and finishes downtown, then heads out through Cherokee Park, where the tree canopy in fall makes the middle stretch feel removed from the city. The route is road the whole way, with the park section giving it the most character. Because of the bourbon theme, everyone running or walking must be at least twenty-one.
After the race, there is a party at Fourth Street Live! with live music, bourbon samples, beer, pizza, and soup. The post-race setup is genuinely part of the day, not an afterthought. Walkers are welcome, but the course has a pace requirement and closes at midday.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
