About the WMCC 2nd annual Unity 5k
The race runs through Woodland Lake Park and carries a Superheroes vs. Villains costume theme. Costumes are strongly encouraged, homemade or otherwise, and runners, walkers, and everyone in between shows up in capes, masks, and creative gear. The park setting keeps things scenic, and the pace is entirely your own.
The meeting point is a ramada inside the park, which also serves as the post-race gathering spot. Food and water are available there after the course, and the finish area tends to be where most of the socializing happens among costumed participants and their families.
