About the Unicorns Among Us 5k

This race is held in memory of a child who passed from Heterotaxy Syndrome, a rare condition affecting how organs are arranged in the body. Proceeds go to a nonprofit that supports affected families and funds research. The course starts and finishes at a local brewing company, so the start line and the post-race gathering are in the same spot.

Packet pickup the evening before is at Ormond Brewing Company, where the kitchen is open and the bar is running. Race morning, a yoga studio leads a group stretch before the start. After the race, the kitchen opens and runners stick around to celebrate.
