About the Unicorn 5k (North)
The course runs a lollipop shape out of Carpenter Park Fields, sharing a start and finish area before branching into a single loop. The surface is mostly concrete with a short stretch of dirt and crushed gravel, so road shoes work for most people. There are no aid stations, so bring your own water.
Parking at Carpenter Park Fields is plentiful, but the organizer is clear: do not navigate to Carpenter Park Rec Center. Enter from the south side of the park. A food drive raffle runs on race day, with prizes for anyone who brings donated items to the charity table before they run.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Unicorn 5k (North) has been held every year since at least 2021. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
