About the Ugly Sweater Run or Walk 5k
The course runs through the streets of Sisters in a chip-timed out-and-back, and the whole point of the morning is the costume. Runners, walkers, and dogs are all encouraged to show up in an ugly Christmas sweater, and there is a parade and contest at the finish with prizes for best individual, best couple, best family, and best dog.
The start and finish are both at The Barn on Main Avenue, which is where the post-race party happens too. Hot chocolate and coffee from a local roaster are at the start line. A complimentary drink is included with registration, and treats from a local bakery round out the finish area. A kids dash goes off just before the main event.

Ugly Sweater Run or Walk 5k 2025 Results
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Ugly Sweater Run or Walk 5k has been held every year since at least 2021. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
