The course runs through Legacy Park on a flat, certified road route. It is an afternoon race, so you finish as the light fades, and the timing works out neatly: after the last runners come in, the park does a countdown and switches on its holiday lights. Wearing an ugly sweater or a holiday costume is very much the point.
