About the UAB Veterans Day 5K

Railroad Park sits in the middle of Birmingham, and the course runs through it. The park has open green space and paved paths, so the footing is consistent and the route stays relatively flat. The race is chip timed and draws a wide range of participants, with the proceeds going toward emergency funding for military-connected students.

Packet pickup runs the two evenings before the race at the UAB Hill Student Center. Race-morning pickup opens well before the start, also on site at Railroad Park. The start area is organized with registration and volunteer support throughout the morning.
