The course starts near a brewery on First Avenue South, heads northeast toward the Rotary Trail, then turns around and comes back the same way. It is road running on flat ground through a stretch of Birmingham that feels more urban corridor than park path. The out-and-back shape means you see the same scenery twice, but the terrain is genuinely quick underfoot.
