About the Twilight 5k
The course runs around Lake Hollingsworth, starting near the parking lot by the country club. Most of the route follows the road along the lake before merging onto a lakeside path partway through. It is an evening race, so expect softer light and cooler air than a morning event. Proceeds support a playground built for children of varying abilities.
Packet pickup runs a couple of evenings earlier in the week at Fleet Feet in Lakeside Village, with race-day pickup available at Publix Charities Park next to the playground. Note that race-day pickup is a short walk from the start line, so build in a few extra minutes. Age group awards go deep, covering a wide range from the youngest runners through masters categories.
