About the Turkey Trot at Waterset
The course is flat and runs through the Waterset neighborhood in Apollo Beach. It is chip timed, and strollers are welcome, though they ask stroller runners to line up toward the back. The race raises money for several local public schools, so the entry fee goes somewhere specific. Kids' fun runs of a few different lengths run alongside the main event, untimed.
Packet pickup is held the evening before the race at The Landing in Waterset on Sail View Lane. Race-morning pickup opens early at the course location on Parkshore Drive. No pets are allowed on the course or in the start area, a firm policy noted prominently in the race materials.
