About the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Bridgeport, CT

The Tunnel to Towers 5K in Bridgeport honors Stephen Siller, an FDNY firefighter who ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel toward the Twin Towers on the morning of the attacks. The course starts at Ellsworth Park and finishes at the Port 5 Naval Veterans club a short distance away. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic colors, and military and first responders often show up in uniform.

Parking near the finish at Port 5 is not available, and roads around the course close early. The organizers point to a few options within walking distance, including a nearby train station lot and a seaport lot, both a solid walk away. Packet pickup runs the two evenings before the race and again on race morning, at Port 5.
