About the Tuesdays In The Park Ice Cream 5k & Kids Fun Run
The course runs through Riverfront Park along the Schuylkill River, flat and quick on road. It is a monthly summer series, so the crowd tends to be regulars who know each other and treat it more like a group training run than a standalone event. Age group awards go pretty deep, so there is real racing happening up front.
Registration opens at the park before the gun. After you finish, ice cream is out for everyone, and a nearby biergarten offers beer to runners of legal age. Parking is in the heritage area lot at Riverfront Park.
