About the Troutman Gobbler Run 5K
This Thanksgiving morning race runs through Troutman and is put on by the local Ruritan Club. Proceeds go toward unpaid school tech fees for students facing financial hardship, along with scholarships and family assistance programs in the area. The course is a road 5K through town, and the race also collects non-perishable food donations for the local pantry.
Same-day registration is available. The start area has the feel of a neighborhood holiday gathering, with the Ruritan Club's volunteer roots showing in how the event is organized.
