About the TROSA Turkey Trot 5K

The course starts and finishes on the campus of TROSA, a residential recovery program, and rolls through the surrounding Lakewood neighborhood. It is not flat, but the hills are manageable, and the neighborhood streets give it a genuine local feel. Cash prizes go to the top overall finishers, so there is real competition at the front, though the field runs the full range.

The evening before the race, bibs are available at Bull City Running Co. in downtown Durham. On race morning, pickup moves to the TROSA campus itself. Parking is off-site at a nearby corporate center, with shuttles running to the start. If you skip the shuttle, the walk to campus from the lot is a reasonable warm-up on its own.
