About the Troop 404 Excuses Not Found 5K
The course runs through the Milliken Arboretum, a cross-country trail layout that winds through the grounds rather than staying on roads. The terrain is natural and uneven underfoot, so trail shoes or at least something with grip will serve you better than road flats. It benefits a local Trail Life USA troop, so the crowd skews toward families and scouts.
Parking is free on site. There are water stations and snacks on course, and lunch is available for purchase at the finish area, where a vendor market is also set up. The whole event runs through the late morning, so there is no rush to clear out once you finish.
