About the Trick or Trot 5k

The course starts at a street corner in Camp Hill and runs through the neighborhood. It is chip timed, so your clock starts when you cross the line, not when the gun goes off. The shorter fun run is geared toward kids, and strollers are welcome on both routes. The race benefits a local fund that supports families facing economic hardship.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at an elementary school not far from the start, with race-morning pickup available as well if you cannot make the earlier window. The race goes off rain or shine.

Common Questions About the Trick or Trot 5k

Will I finish last at the Trick or Trot 5k?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 32:56, and the last recorded finisher came in around 54:35, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Trick or Trot 5k a good first 5K?

A field of 444 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Trick or Trot 5k?

The 5K winner ran 18:15 while the median finisher took 32:56. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
